Welcome to Cordoba

Cordoba is a city with a population of 350,000 in the very centre of Andalusia, the southernmost region of Spain. Cordoba enjoys a warm sunny climate during most of the year and it is well known for its history, its beauty and the friendliness of its people, was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1984.Echoes of the important historical role Cordoba has played over the centuries abound in the Roman, Visigoth, Moslem, Jewish and Christian remains found all over the city. For seven centuries Christian, Jewish and Moslem cultures flourished side by side and provided an exemplary model of tolerance and peaceful co-existence between different cultures and races

Thanks to its convenient location (on the main Southward road and rail line from Madrid) it is easy to reach Cordoba from the international airports of Seville, Malaga and Madrid. The high speed AVE train gets you here from Madrid (400 km.) in 1 hour 40 minutes, from Seville (130 km.) in only 40 minutes and from Malaga (160 km) in just 1 hour.
